I may not have broken out the full fall decorations this year, but I have found some fabulous fall things while out and about recently.
Look what I snapped up at Whole Foods when I ran in for pizza dough the other day . . .
3 for $10! A bargain! At Whole Foods! (Said hardly anyone ever.)
Couple those with a beautiful amber vase I found at Homegoods . . .
I love how pretty and restful this looks!
Be still my heart, Williams-Sonoma took my favorite mulling spices and kicked them up a notch by packaging them in WECK JARS! (I’ve already shared my Weck love with you here.)
As if the apple-cinnamony aroma of cider mulling on the stove isn’t motivation enough to use these spices up, now there’s a prize at the end — a sweet little jar to use again. (Of course I had to get the coordinating cinnamon sticks.)
My 16-year-old and I are slightly obsessed with the Verissimo espresso maker he chose for me for Mother’s Day this year, so when we saw this pumpkin spice latte syrup (also at Williams-Sonoma), we just had to try some.
Yeah. That’s just evil. With whip, if you please.
I also picked up a few things for a fall table setting for my kitchen.
Two table runners, a rustic wood tray, and some pretty fall napkins from Homegoods.
Gourds and squash from Whole Foods . . .
All pulled together with things I already had, and a simple fall table setting was born — just in time for my husband’s birthday yesterday.
I made him one of his favorites for dinner, a savory apple-chicken tart with Gruyere cheese and a phyllo crust.
Which reminds me, I haven’t shared a recipe with you in forever, so Friday I’m doing a post on simple weeknight recipes.
Happy Birthday to my amazing husband, who’s truly one of the good guys (this is a little test to see if he’s actually reading my blog posts all the way to the end!).
Hope you all are enjoying some beautiful fall weather, apples and pumpkins where you are!
